Peter Bailey founded Artistic Gardens in 1992 in order to turn your landscape dreams into reality.

Unlike large residential and commercial firms, Peter works hands-on with a client from start to finish. This enables him to fully understand his clients’ goals, priorities and budgetary constraints in every aspect of the design process. Peter is then able to creatively work to achieve the best possible result -- one that will be enjoyed for years to come.

This hands-on approach ensures the highest standards of excellence – standards Peter has been recognized for time and again.

Widely renowned for his gifted design skills, as well as for his unique ability to work within the tightest of budgets, Peter has won numerous industry accolades throughout his three decades of service.

Prior to founding Artistic Gardens, Peter was a Partner and Senior Landscape Architect with the award-winning Potomac Valley Landscaping. Active in the business community, Peter served for 10 years as the Chairman of the Beatification Committee for the City of Gaithersburg. Peter is active in the Rockville Chamber of Commerce as well as in the Real Estate Investment Society (REIS).

Peter received his degree in Landscape Operations from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts. He was later awarded a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree (BLA) from the University of Georgia, School of Environmental Design. In 1973, Peter was presented with the Outstanding Young Men in America Award.
